Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift
Hours: 12 hrs/day | 3 days/week | 36 hrs/week
Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health unit on a night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, patient-centered care and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Provide direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
Conduct assessments, monitor patient status, and document clinical observations.
Administer medications and implement treatment plans as directed.
Maintain safety protocols and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Collaborate with providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
Support patients through crisis intervention, stabilization, and daily care routines.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (or compact eligibility if applicable).
Minimum 1–2 years of Behavioral Health/Psych RN experience preferred.
Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
Excellent communication, empathy, and judgment in high-stress situations.
Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage multiple patients.
