Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking CVOR Registered Nurse – Day Shift for an exciting in Sanford, FL.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years recent acute care CVOR RN experience required.
  • Current Florida RN license (or multistate compact license; Florida license must be obtained within 60 days if relocating).
  • Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • ACLS certification or instructor status within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS certification or instructor status within 30 days of hire.
  • PALS or equivalent pediatric emergency certification within 6 months of hire.

Additional Details

  • Approximately 10–15 open-heart cases per month; on non-OH case days, you will work in the regular OR.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call duties.

Position Overview

  • Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary teams in a culture of mutual respect.
  • Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols ensuring patient safety.
  • Evaluate and prepare patients for surgery, including intravenous therapy, medication administration, and patient/family education.
  • Respond promptly to patient emergencies and monitor patient conditions throughout shifts.
  • Document patient care thoroughly and educate patients and caregivers on medical conditions and follow-up care.
  • Be available for on-call duties during select non-business hours.
