Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 3 Months
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable imaging examinations across multiple care areas, including diagnostic radiology, nursing units, outpatient locations, and the surgical department. This role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to support departmental operations effectively.
Perform radiologic exams per physician orders, including routine, fluoroscopic, and portable studies.
Demonstrate versatility within all functional areas of the diagnostic Radiology department.
Protect patients, colleagues, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure by following ALARA and all safety guidelines.
Support front-desk functions and utilize imaging and hospital information systems to retrieve, update, or correct patient exam data.
Report equipment issues to management and Clinical Engineering; ensure proper documentation and communication of equipment status to coworkers.
Schedule exams across the department and notify supervisors when urgent scheduling adjustments are required.
Use centralized transport systems to coordinate patient movement when needed.
Professionally collaborate with other clinical departments to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care.
Contact on-call imaging staff as required for after-hours or emergent cases.
Assist with equipment quality assurance tasks and regulatory compliance (including state regulations and accreditation requirements).
Participate in supply ordering, staff scheduling support, and departmental audit tasks.
Maintain availability for assignments and demonstrate flexibility to meet operational needs.
Support and mentor Radiologic Technology students as needed.
Access patient records appropriately and securely to conduct imaging operations in accordance with privacy regulations.
Knowledge of medical terminology, sterile and isolation techniques, and radiologic safety principles.
Competency in patient positioning for various radiographic procedures.
Proficient operation of X-ray equipment, imaging detectors, printers, and related systems.
Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT Certification (Registered Technologist in Radiography).
BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
