Location: Lanham, MD
Shift: Day Shift
Additional Requirement: Every other weekend required
Job Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality nursing care in a rehabilitation setting, supporting patient recovery and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Deliver skilled nursing care according to patient care plans and facility protocols.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by authorized providers.
Monitor and document patient health status, including vital signs, progress, and responses to treatment.
Perform wound care, IV therapy (if permitted), and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
Assist patients with daily living activities and mobility support as needed.
Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Respond promptly to urgent or emergent patient needs to ensure safety and comfort.
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and ongoing treatment needs.
Adhere to infection control, facility policies, and professional nursing standards at all times.
