Shift: Day, 40 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, no weekends/holidays/on-call)
Travel Rate: $2,444/week
Local Rate: $2,062.50/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Ultrasound Technologist (CWR) – Breast Center for an exciting Travel or Local job in North Bergen, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and complex breast ultrasound exams, including Doppler for vascularity assessment, using appropriate transducers and protocols for dense breasts, implants, and masses.
Prepare patients, explain procedures, position for optimal views, and evaluate image quality while optimizing settings like gain, depth, focus, and TGC to minimize artifacts.
Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, aspirations, and interventions, maintaining sterile technique and providing patient care.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, perform calibrations, clean/sterilize instruments, manage PACS for image archiving/retrieval, and participate in quality control programs.
Handle clerical duties using EPIC, TeleTracking, and scheduling systems; greet patients per A.I.D.E.T. standards; maintain records and adhere to safety/infection policies.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School with 2 years Allied Health/College training.
RDMS certification and CPR proficiency.
Strong knowledge of breast anatomy/pathology, cross-sectional anatomy, ultrasound equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
Experience with portable exams, deep abdominal studies, color-flow ultrasound, and patient-specific care modifications (age, culture, impairments).
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year clinical ultrasound experience, especially in breast imaging.
