Schedule: Mon/Tues/Thurs (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) + two Wednesdays/month as needed
Hours: 24 hrs/week (8-hr shifts)

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support cardiac nuclear stress testing and diagnostic imaging within a hospital outpatient department (HOPD). The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing nuclear medicine procedures, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging through PACS systems.
This role requires a technologist who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures including organ imaging, functional studies, and assistance with therapeutic isotope administration.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to safety and regulatory guidelines.
Select, operate, and calibrate Nuclear Medicine equipment and related technologies (including Digirad camera).
Evaluate images through PACS to ensure proper identification and diagnostic quality.
Maintain accurate records involving radioactive material receipt, storage, disposal, and inventory per state and NRC regulations.
Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages following regulatory guidelines.
Maintain clean, contamination-free workspaces and uphold radiation protection standards for patients and staff.
Rotate to support Cardiology and PET/CT as needed.
Perform clerical duties involving EPIC, Nuctrac, Teletracking, and Nuclear Medicine Information Systems.
Provide excellent patient interaction using AIDET standards.
Follow hospital policies regarding ID, behavior standards, attendance, and punctuality.
Adapt care delivery to meet patient needs based on age, culture, language, or disabilities.
Participate in scheduled shifts, occasional overtime, and assigned weekend rotations.
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a busy hospital environment.
Experience starting IVs and supporting cardiac nuclear stress testing.
Familiarity with:

EPIC
ISCV Philips reporting system
Digirad camera
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
Valid NJDEP Nuclear Medicine license (required)
ARRT or NMTCB registry (required)
BLS (AHA) required
