Location - Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7.5–8 hr shifts (≈40 hours/week)
This role supports the medical needs of youth within a secure correctional environment. The RN will work closely with on-site nursing staff and correctional officers to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of youth residents. The facility population is significantly smaller than adult corrections, and care is delivered through direct interaction, including door-to-door medication administration.
Secure, closed campus with Youth Correctional Officers present at all times.
Med pass performed door-to-door using a medication cart.
Closely supervised and supported by a state-employed Registered Nurse.
Steady weekday schedule with no overtime.
Evaluate and respond to youth health concerns under supervision of an on-site RN.
Advise youth regarding treatment procedures and health recommendations.
Obtain, process, and label blood, urine, and other specimen samples.
Monitor, record, and report changes in youth health status or vital signs.
Administer medications and observe for potential adverse reactions.
Conduct intake health screenings for newly admitted youth.
Provide direct patient care and emergency medical care to youth and staff as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate treatment plans.
Obtain, maintain, and organize medical files and documentation.
Ensure medical supplies, equipment, and medication stock are maintained.
Administer vaccinations and assist with annual TB skin testing.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge of professional nursing methods and techniques.

Minimum 1+ year of RN experience.
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of assignment.
Experience in correctional or juvenile justice healthcare settings.
