Guaranteed Hours: 35 per week
Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care. The PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans focused on improving patient mobility, strength, and physical function.
Implement physical therapy treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
Assist patients with exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility improvement programs.
Document patient progress, treatment activities, and responses accurately and timely.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, equipment use, and home exercise programs.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of treatment areas and therapy equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care.
Adjust treatment interventions based on patient response within the scope of PTA practice.
Follow facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards for therapy services.
Active, valid PTA license in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain).
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, acute, or long-term care preferred.
Strong patient communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
