Shift: Day Shift (08:00 AM – 04:30 PM)
Schedule: Sunday – Saturday (7 days/week rotation)
Job Description
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care. The role requires supporting patients through treatment plans, documenting progress, and assisting in restoring mobility, strength, and physical function.
Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, gait training, and other approved interventions.
Document patient progress, responses, and changes in condition accurately and timely.
Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean and safe condition.
Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care strategies.
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and facility leadership to ensure continuity of care.
Adhere to all facility policies, professional standards, and state practice regulations.
Float to nearby sister facility when required.
Active, unencumbered PTA license in the state of New Hampshire (or compact-friendly if applicable).
CPR/BLS certification.
Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or related clinical settings preferred.
Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
Ability to work all scheduled days, including weekends.
