Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Gettysburg, PA
Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Contract Length: 9 Weeks

Job Summar

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care within the Gettysburg Center, supporting the nursing team and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and effective clinical services. The LPN works under the direction of an RN or clinical supervisor, delivering daily care, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining documentation in compliance with facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and facility protocols.

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers.

  • Monitor, record, and report changes in resident condition to supervising RN or provider.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility needs.

  • Obtain and document vital signs, symptoms, and clinical observations.

  • Support wound care, dressing changes, and routine treatments.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

  • Ensure infection control compliance and promote a safe care environment.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, CNAs, RNs, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Participate in shift handoffs, care coordination, and routine unit operations.

  • Work every other weekend as scheduled.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Active LPN license (state-specific).

  • Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (preferred).

  • Strong clinical and patient care skills.

  • Proficiency in medication administration and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Experience using EMR systems (preferred).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
