Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Gettysburg, PA
Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Contract Length: 9 Weeks

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality clinical care within the Gettysburg Center, ensuring patient safety, effective treatment, and compliance with facility standards. This role supports resident care plans, supervises clinical workflow, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent continuity of care. Occasional responsibilities may include acting as House Supervisor to oversee unit operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, standards, and regulations.

  • Assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and evaluate treatment responses.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed.

  • Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall resident status to identify changes promptly.

  • Document all nursing interventions, observations, and patient progress accurately in the medical record.

  • Coordinate care with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Support residents with ADLs and mobility as needed.

  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical nursing interventions.

  • Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

  • Work every other weekend per schedule requirements.

  • Serve occasionally as House Supervisor to oversee facility operations, staffing, and clinical coordination during shifts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Active RN license (state-specific).

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care or acute care setting (preferred).

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage complex patient needs.

  • Experience with EMR systems (preferred).

  • Flexibility to serve in supervisory capacity when assigned.
