An experienced Application Development Analyst is needed to provide advanced-level application development, maintenance, and support services for business applications within a government technology environment. The analyst will contribute to full-stack development, technical documentation, database programming, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration to support enterprise application needs.
Maintain, enhance, troubleshoot, and support enterprise business applications
Research, analyze, and document program requirements based on stakeholder needs
Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications
Write clean, high-quality, and efficient application code
Develop and maintain user manuals, guidelines, and system documentation
Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and network teams to resolve issues
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior developers
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes
Prepare and submit required documentation and reporting for deliverables
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Java Development (7+ years) including:
Struts/Tiles, Struts 2
Servlets/JSP
JPA/Hibernate
Oracle Database (5+ years) including:
DML/DDL development
PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries
JavaScript Frameworks (3+ years) including:
AngularJS, NodeJS, React, or jQuery
Full-Stack Development (3+ years)
Additional Skills:
Responsive front-end design (Bootstrap preferred)
Git or other code repositories
Jenkins or similar Continuous Integration tools
UML
TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator
Relational and Object-Oriented Design
ISDM methodology
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Oracle certifications
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
Docker or other virtualization tools
GIS application development
RESTful web services
Experience with environmental regulatory systems
Familiarity with DEP technical environments
