Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Technician for a short-term contract assignment in a fast-paced emergency department. The ER Tech will provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and support nursing and medical staff in delivering high-quality emergency care.
Provide basic patient care under the direction of an RN.
Assist patients with activities of daily living.
Perform phlebotomy procedures.
Monitor and document vital signs.
Perform EKGs and assist with telemetry monitoring.
Conduct point-of-care glucose testing (finger stick).
Support rapid clinical workflows during high-acuity situations.
Maintain patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care.
Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Minimum 1 year of experience as an Emergency Department Technician.
Phlebotomy experience required.
EKG/Arrhythmia certificate preferred.
Medical Technician certificate preferred.
Nursing Attendant certification preferred.
Experience as an EKG Technician, Nursing Attendant, or equivalent strongly preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Strong communication, observation, and clinical support skills.
