We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support Loudoun County Public Schools in a floating role for the remainder of the school year. This position will cover two consecutive FMLA leaves, providing services across multiple school locations. The ideal candidate is flexible, experienced in school-based therapy, and comfortable adapting to different caseloads and environments.
Provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school guidelines.
Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to determine student needs.
Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals.
Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and student records.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
Participate in meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and planning sessions.
Support two FMLA coverages:
First assignment: Catoctin Elementary School (Jan 5 – mid-February).
Second assignment: Aldie, Round Hill, and Mountain View schools (late February – end of school year).
Adapt to rotating school environments and diverse student needs.
Active and unencumbered SLP license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility).
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Previous school-based experience strongly preferred.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage varied caseloads.
Flexibility to serve across multiple school sites.
