A healthcare facility in the Houston area is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting with patient examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, and routine clinical tasks. The CMA will also perform administrative and clerical duties in alignment with TJC, CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and other regulatory standards. All clinical activities are performed under physician supervision and within the defined scope of practice.
Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
Support patient care activities such as treatments and dressing changes.
Perform administrative duties including scheduling, documentation, insurance verification, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in adherence to HIPAA requirements.
Deliver high-quality patient service while following organizational policies and clinical protocols.
Health insurance verification
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience using Epic EMR/EHR
Patient scheduling and registration
Insurance eligibility verification
Claims processing and follow-up
Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
High-volume call center experience (60–100 calls/day)
Pre-authorizations and referrals
Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
Accurate data entry and documentation
Ability to support both onsite and remote workflows
