Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3×8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
The MRI Technologist will operate and prepare MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. This role requires strong technical judgment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to produce high-quality MRI studies based on clinical standards and patient needs.
Perform MRI imaging procedures following established protocols.
Position patients and coils to ensure optimal image quality.
Provide clear patient education regarding MRI procedures.
Review MRI safety questionnaires prior to patient entry into scan room.
Ensure all MRI images are appropriately labeled and transmitted to PACS.
Complete all study documentation in the Radiology Information System (IDX) in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness of MRI room and equipment at the start and end of shift.
Scan and upload patient documents as required.
Maintain supplies and ensure a safe, organized work environment.
Assist physicians during procedures when needed.
Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptly.
Perform clerical duties in the absence of support staff.
Adhere strictly to MRI safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
Attend required in-services and professional development sessions.
Maintain required licensure and remain compliant with regulatory standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. accredited Radiologic Technology program.
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
ARRT MRI Registry.
BCLS Certification.
