Job Description – Registered Nurse (LTC)

Location: Hot Springs, SD
Setting: Long-Term Care / Nursing Home
Shift: Variable Days & Variable Nights
Shift Lengths: 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Type: Travel / Contract RN

Position Overview

A Long-Term Care facility in Hot Springs, SD is seeking a committed Registered Nurse to join their team. The RN will provide high-quality care to residents, support clinical needs, collaborate with the care team, and ensure a safe and compassionate environment for all residents.

Schedule

• Variable Day and Night Shifts
• Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Flexibility required to meet facility needs

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as needed
• Monitor and document resident conditions accurately
• Assist residents with ADLs and support overall well-being
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support quality care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in LTC / Skilled Nursing / Nursing Home settings preferred
• Ability to work variable days and nights
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
• Compassionate and resident-focused approach
