Job Description

The selected candidate will support an Information Technology Office by documenting critical business processes, analysing current business functions for efficiency opportunities, assisting in process redesign, and supporting development and testing activities. Responsibilities include analysing financial systems and related business processes, and contributing to re-engineering efforts aligned with an ongoing business transformation initiative.

The candidate may also serve as a developer, maintainer, and subject matter expert for applications supporting complex financial business functions across large, cross-functional project teams. The role ensures delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field; or equivalent experience.


Required Experience

  • 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager.

  • 5+ years of broad experience with development technologies, including Oracle or similar relational databases.

  • Highly Desired: Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio /.NET.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate should be able to perform the following:

  • Serve as a developer and SME for applications supporting complex financial business processes across large cross-functional projects.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to QA throughout the development lifecycle—design, integration, staging, and production.

  • Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues using troubleshooting tools, techniques, and team collaboration.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including roadmap development, process standardisation, and documentation refinement.

  • Collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, technologies, and methodologies relevant to software development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts; SQL proficiency required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio /.NET preferred.

  • Knowledge of ORMs such as Entity Framework or nHibernate preferred.

  • Experience developing and maintaining software systems supporting complex financial processes.
