Shift: Nights – 3×12 hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Location: Columbia, SC
A skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is needed to support high-acuity Operating Room services on the night shift. This role requires strong specialty experience and the ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Night Shift: Wednesday / Thursday / Friday
3×12 hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Call Requirements: 3–4 call shifts per 6-week schedule
Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
(Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Requirements
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
NBSTSA OR NCCT accepted
NCCT valid if employed as CST prior to Jan 1, 2008 or completed a military ST training program
Strong ENT, Plastics, and Pediatrics experience required
Ability to take call as scheduled
Must adhere to floating policies
Contracted staff may be required to float to other Prisma Health units or campuses based on census needs. Floating will only occur to units where the traveler is qualified and has documented competencies.
Assist surgeons and RNs during operative procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile field
Ensure availability of surgical instruments and supplies
Support ENT, Plastics, and Pediatric cases with a high level of proficiency
Maintain equipment, instrumentation, and OR readiness
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
Adhere to infection prevention and safety standards
Document procedures and supply usage accurately
