Duration: 37 Weeks
Schedule: 07:00 AM – 02:45 PM
Local Pay: $1,050/week
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Behavior Assistant – Special Education (SPED) for an exciting job in Sterling, VA.
Responsibilities:
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Manage and support student behavior using approved strategies.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
Assist with academic tasks and reinforce lessons.
Document behaviors, progress, and incidents.
Support crisis intervention per school protocols.
Promote an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Help students build social skills and emotional regulation.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff; attend meetings/training.
Follow confidentiality and school guidelines.
Qualifications:
Experience with children/students; SPED or behavioral support preferred.
Knowledge of behavior strategies and special education practices a plus.
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork.
Ability to follow plans and document accurately.
HS Diploma/GED required; relevant degree preferred.
CPI/PCM or similar certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
