The School Speech Language Pathologist will provide evaluation, eligibility determination, IEP participation, and direct therapy services to students. The role includes delivering RtI (Response to Intervention) support and working with children presenting speech delays as well as students receiving special education services. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
Participate in eligibility meetings and develop IEPs.
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech/language needs.
Deliver RtI support services as assigned.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation for evaluations, therapy sessions, and IEP reporting.
Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Serve students with speech-only delays as well as those requiring special education services.
Collaborate with school staff to support student goals and progress.
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathology endorsement, registered in Lake County.
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
