Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Day Shift

Location: Albuquerque, NM
Contract Duration: 17 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week

  • Shift Time: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM

  • Shift Length: 12 hours

  • Scheduled Workdays: Sunday, Monday, Saturday

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a long-term contract assignment in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment. The LPN will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care, supporting residents with daily medical needs, and ensuring compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient/resident care in accordance with the nursing plan of care

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule

  • Monitor vital signs, observe changes in patient condition, and promptly report to supervising RN/Provider

  • Assist with wound care, IV therapy (if applicable by state), and other skilled nursing tasks

  • Document all care provided in the EMR system according to facility guidelines

  • Support residents with ADLs as needed and promote a safe environment

  • Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Maintain infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience (SNF/LTC experience strongly preferred)

  • Strong clinical skills in medication administration, assessments, and patient monitoring

  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and manage a diverse patient load

  • Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

  • Experience working in long-term care or post-acute care environments preferred

  • Familiarity with EMR charting systems

Education & Licensure

  • Active LPN License in the state of assignment (or ability to obtain prior to start)

  • BLS/CPR Certification (required)

  • Graduated from an accredited LPN nursing program
