We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses to join our Adult ICU team for day and night shift positions. Nurses will be assigned to units based on experience and must be able to work with minimal supervision in a high-acuity environment.
Location: Syracuse, NY
Contract Duration: 15 weeks
Shift Options:
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Some holidays
Job Summary
The Critical Care RN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Adult ICU. The nurse must demonstrate strong clinical skills, rapid assessment ability, and competence in managing complex patient conditions.
Provide direct patient care in an Adult ICU setting with minimal orientation.
Perform accurate assessments, administer medications, and follow treatment plans.
Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Records for documentation.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure patient safety and follow all hospital policies and protocols.
Participate in emergency situations as needed.
Maintain professionalism, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
Active RN license in New York State (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
Minimum 1.5 years recent ICU experience in an acute care Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility
Experience in facilities of similar or larger size strongly preferred
EPIC EMR experience (Highly Preferred)
No prior professional license suspension, investigation, or malpractice liability involvement
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Must pass drug screening, criminal background check, and pre-employment health clearance
