Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 10-Week Contract

Shift: Day Shift | 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM (12-hour shift with 30-minute meal break)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 10-week contract assignment in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to residents, support daily clinical operations, and ensure compliance with all facility and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.

  • Monitor residents’ health status, report significant changes to the RN or physician, and document appropriately.

  • Assist residents with daily activities and support their physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.

  • Perform wound care, catheter care, vital signs, assessments, and other LPN-level clinical duties.

  • Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated resident care.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Ensure proper infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Assist in emergency situations following facility guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of assignment (or ability to obtain before start).

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or medical-surgical settings preferred.

  • CPR/BLS certification (required).

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Must be dependable and able to work required rotating weekend schedule.
