Contract Type: Travel or Local Assignment
Schedule:

  • 3×12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

  • Weekends and holidays required as needed

  • No on-call requirement

Compensation:

  • Travel Rate: $2,232 per week

  • Local Rate: $1,908 per week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a leading healthcare team in Neptune, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions in accordance with physician directives and departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, diagnostic tests, and disease management education under medical supervision.

  • Manage ventilators, perform intubation assistance, and monitor patients’ respiratory status.

  • Evaluate patient data and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal care outcomes.

  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, medication usage, and equipment operation.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated patient care.

  • Accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient progress in the EMR system.

  • Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, and continuing education.

  • Perform required physical tasks such as lifting (minimum 5 lbs), pushing/pulling (minimum 5 lbs), and standing for extended periods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

  • New Jersey Respiratory Care License – current and in good standing

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required)

  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
