Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at a leading healthcare facility in Utica, NY. The RN will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical support.
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with acute and chronic medical conditions.
Monitor and manage patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory issues, including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, and post-op cases.
Operate and monitor specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo systems.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Document all care accurately in the EMR system (EPIC experience required).
Float to other units as needed to support patient care operations.
License: Active RN license in New York (verification required through NURSYS).
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Intermediate Care, PCU, or Step-Down units. Travel experience preferred.
Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
References: Two recent IMCU Charge Nurse or Manager RN references required.
Skills: Ability to manage vents (chronic/non-weaning), strong critical thinking, and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment.
EMR Experience: EPIC required.
Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
Floating: Required.
Unit Type: Intermediate Care (IMCU)

Unit Size: 64 total beds (15 designated Neuro beds)
