Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech for an exciting job in Fort Myers, FL.
Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and the surgical team during cardiovascular and open-heart procedures.
Prepare and maintain a sterile operating environment and ensure all instruments are properly sterilized.
Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instruments and materials.
Ensure accurate counts of instruments and sponges before and after procedures.
Maintain detailed surgical documentation and assist in postoperative clean-up and preparation.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to support optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience required.
Specialty Experience: Heavy cardiac/open-heart experience mandatory.
Travel Experience: Prior travel assignment experience required.
Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
Skills: Excellent knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and OR protocols; strong teamwork and communication skills.
