Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Medical Surgical Float Pool
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Schedule (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $25 – $30 per hour
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Medical Surgical Float Pool assignment in Syracuse, NY. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting nursing teams across multiple medical-surgical units, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, mobility, feeding, and comfort.
Accurately obtain and record vital signs, intake/output, and other assigned patient data.
Collaborate with nurses and clinical staff to promote patient safety and efficient care delivery.
Transport patients, specimens, and equipment as needed between departments.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient care areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
Float between designated medical-surgical units based on staffing needs.
Qualifications:
Active New York State CNA license required.
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care or hospital-based experience required.
Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
COVID-19 and Flu vaccines not required per facility guidelines.
