We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Operations Administrator to join a high-performing technology team supporting enterprise-scale data and cloud environments. This role will focus on AWS cloud infrastructure, middleware operations, and automation, helping to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure platforms that support data services and engineering initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an AWS expert with strong Linux administration skills, a passion for automation, and hands-on experience in supporting large-scale data and middleware systems.
Lead and contribute to the design, architecture, and implementation of infrastructure solutions across data services and engineering platforms.
Develop, enhance, and operate platform capabilities, including cloud storage, middleware upgrades, and automation solutions to enable rapid and secure deployments on AWS.
Support enterprise data warehousing solutions and related tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Snowflake).
Design and implement reusable, secure cloud infrastructure templates following best practices for compliance and efficiency.
Promote and demonstrate DevOps and software delivery best practices, focusing on observability, feedback loops, and operational excellence.
Manage and upgrade middleware and data tools, including DataIKU, Cloudera AI, Starburst, Zabbix, Jenkins, and other enterprise systems.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting for production and development environment issues, ensuring rapid resolution of critical incidents.
Evaluate current infrastructure practices, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements in security, automation, and operations.
Collaborate closely with engineering and development teams to deliver cost-optimized, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.
Engage with emerging technologies such as AI, MCP, and RAG, alongside legacy system support.
Communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
AWS Expertise: 5–8+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS environments, focusing on compute, storage, and middleware operations.
Linux Administration: Minimum 6 years of experience managing Linux-based systems.
Automation & Scripting: 4+ years of experience developing automation solutions using Python and shell scripting.
Git & GitOps: Practical experience with Git repositories and automated deployment workflows.
AWS Security: Understanding of VPC configurations, DNS, IAM, SSL, and cloud security best practices.
Middleware Operations: Strong background in installing, securing, and managing Linux-based software, Docker containers, and middleware environments.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
Experience supporting large-scale, cloud-based data warehousing and analytics environments.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container security.
Awareness of data engineering and analytics technologies.
