Job Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Duration: 13 Weeks (Approx.)
Shift: Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Pay Rate: Competitive Weekly Gross
Radius Rule: 50 miles (No locals accepted)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join in Fort Myers, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset while providing high-quality care in both Med-Surg and PCU environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in Progressive Care (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) settings.

  • Float between units as needed, including to MS Units, PCU Units, and ED Hold areas.

  • Monitor patients requiring close observation and advanced interventions.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.

  • Utilize Epic EMR to document and manage patient information accurately.

  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

  • Adhere to all facility safety protocols and infection control standards.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and integrate seamlessly into core staff culture.

Qualifications:

  • License: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.

  • Certifications:

    • BLS (required)

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required.

    • Experience working in high-volume hospital settings preferred.

    • Epic EMR experience required.

  • Education:

    • Accredited nursing degree (verification required) OR 5+ years of equivalent clinical experience.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Must be comfortable floating between units and campuses.

    • Must provide all required compliance documentation prior to start.

    • Galaxy Blue or White scrubs required.

Additional Details:

  • Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate into the team.

  • Floating: Required (including to sister campuses).

  • RTO/Schedule Requests: Must be submitted at the time of application—no post-submission changes.
