Travel Registered Nurse – Case Manager / Utilization Review / CDI
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 5x8 (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Block Scheduling: Not Available
We are seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with strong skills in Utilization Review and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have recent hospital case management experience and be proficient in EPIC EMR.
Conduct utilization reviews and ensure appropriate level-of-care decisions.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe and efficient discharge planning.
Ensure proper clinical documentation to reflect patient acuity, diagnoses, and medical necessity.
Advocate for patient needs, resources, and transitions within the continuum of care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
Active RN License – New York State
BLS Certification (current or ability to renew)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent (within the last 2 years) acute care case management experience
Recent experience in a hospital of similar size or larger or a trauma center
EPIC EMR experience required
Must have strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) exposure
Prior travel experience (not required)
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
No block scheduling
Weekend or holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
