Weekly Gross Pay: $2,225
We are seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a contract assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in Patchogue, New York. The CST will assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel, ensuring a sterile and safe operating environment.
Prepare operating rooms, ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized.
Assist surgical teams during operations, maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by providing instruments, sponges, and other necessary supplies during procedures.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery.
Handle specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
Support post-operative room turnover and restocking of surgical supplies.
Ensure patient safety and compliance with facility protocols at all times.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent CST experience required.
First-Time Travelers: Accepted with 5+ years of CST experience.
Certifications:
NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification
BLS (American Heart Association)
Systems: EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions).
