Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Duration: 6 weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to provide both front and back office clinical support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for greeting and rooming patients, performing clinical procedures, managing scheduling and phone communications, and assisting with overall patient care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, patient-focused, and a strong team player who values health education and community wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

  • Record and document vital signs and medical histories accurately.

  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture, administer vaccines, and assist with POC testing.

  • Conduct EKGs and other clinical diagnostic procedures as required.

  • Support front office operations, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient flow.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

  • Ensure examination rooms are properly stocked, sanitized, and organized.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.

  • Provide health education and outreach support as part of the clinical team’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (in addition to an externship).

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required.

  • Experience with front and back office duties, POC testing, EKG, and scheduling.

  • BLS or CPR certification required.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong computer literacy and ability to multitask efficiently.

  • Passion for patient care, health education, and community outreach.
