Unit: Emergency Department
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts | 3 Nights per Week
Pay Rate: $2,676 Weekly Gross
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires a strong clinical background, sound judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing patient conditions.
Utilize the nursing process effectively in providing care, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, and social aspects, and develop individualized care plans.
Communicate relevant patient data to interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, quality care.
Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities and act as a resource to staff members.
Use computerized nursing informatics systems to manage and document patient care.
Serve as a mentor and educator, assisting with staff orientation and ongoing professional development.
Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement activities.
Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and blood/body fluid procedures.
Identify personal learning needs and maintain documentation of professional development activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or charge nurse.
Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience required.
At least 1 year of travel ER RN experience preferred.
Successful completion of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams.
Proficiency in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring required.
Completion of an approved De-escalation Certification Course preferred.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS – Required
TNCC – Required
ENPC – Preferred
PALS – Preferred
