Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiac ICU (CICU)

Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Pay Rate: $2,972.62 Weekly Gross
Hourly Rate: $79.27
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced, high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients. This role requires expertise in cardiac monitoring, critical care interventions, and the ability to respond rapidly in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in a critical care setting.
Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, hemodynamic status, and cardiac rhythms using specialized equipment.
Administer medications, including cardiac drips, IV infusions, and emergency drugs as prescribed.
Operate and manage life-support and monitoring equipment, including ventilators, defibrillators, and cardiac monitors.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Respond promptly to cardiac and respiratory emergencies, performing life-saving interventions as needed.
Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile, safe environment at all times.
Participate in unit-based meetings, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU or Critical Care setting.
Proficiency in managing complex cardiac cases, including patients with ventilators, drips, and invasive lines.
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred).
Required Certifications:
AHA BLS – Basic Life Support
AHA ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Valid RN license in the state of New York
High-acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) setting.
Requires strong clinical judgment and emotional resilience.
Exposure to critically ill patients, medical equipment, and bodily fluids (PPE provided).
Extended standing, walking, and patient interaction throughout the shift.
