Job Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Contract
Shift: 02:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Pay Rate: $35 – $45 per hour
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking CVOR Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) for an exciting job in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room with required instruments, supplies, and equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
Assist the surgical team by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and providing hands-on intraoperative support.
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection prevention protocols.
Handle, manage, and process surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
Collaborate with RNs and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Support onboarding/training and serve as a resource for junior surgical technologists.
Comply with all hospital, departmental, and patient safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through one of the following:
National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation with specific experience in cardiovascular procedures.
