Job Title: Financial Product Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ – On-site
Contract Duration: 6 Months

Position Overview:

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking Financial Product Manager for an exciting job in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Tax Assessor, Treasurer’s office, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that improve user experience and operational efficiency.

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collect and analyze functional and technical requirements for tax billing, payment processing, audit trails, financial reporting, and integration with other systems.

  • Project Management & Delivery: Manage the full product lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and support, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

  • User Training & Support: Collaborate with training teams to develop materials and conduct sessions; act as a primary point of contact for user feedback and issue resolution.

  • Data Integrity & Security: Work with IT and security teams to protect sensitive financial data and ensure system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years as a Product Manager or Business Analyst, preferably with government finance, tax systems, or accounting software.

  • Strong understanding of tax collection processes, government accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience with software development lifecycle (Agile/Scrum preferred).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions.

  • Familiarity with government finance systems (e.g., Tyler Technologies, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in local government or public sector environments.

  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and cybersecurity best practices for government systems.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CBAP, Certified Scrum Product Owner).
