Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking MRI Technologist for an exciting job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images.
Review and verify physician orders, patient identification, and safety screening forms prior to examination.
Position patients properly and explain procedures to minimize anxiety and ensure comfort.
Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any signs of distress or complications.
Administer contrast agents as required and monitor for potential allergic reactions.
Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging logs, and procedure reports.
Ensure MRI equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and maintained for optimal performance.
Follow MRI-specific safety protocols, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.
Participate in continuing education to stay current with MRI technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Certification: Current ARRT (MR) or ARDMS (MR) certification required.
State licensure.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred; new graduates with clinical training may be considered.
