Job Title: Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7.5 hours per day 
Shift Time: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $45 - $50hrs/w2

Job Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist for an exciting job in Syracuse, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort and cooperation.
• Accurately apply electrodes according to the international 10–20 system and other applicable standards.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain EEG and related neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Observe, identify, and document abnormalities or significant changes in tracings.
• Ensure accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and safety of all EEG equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure accurate interpretation of results.
• Assist in training or guiding new staff, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an EEG Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Preferred:

• Additional neurodiagnostic or polysomnography experience is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent approved by a State Department of Education or accredited organization, and
• One (1) year of experience as an Electroencephalograph Technician in a healthcare setting, or

Certificate of Completion from an ABRET-recognized EEG or Evoked Potential Technologist training program, or

Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program in EEG technology (may substitute for one year of experience).

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred: ABRET registration or eligibility.
