Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Power Electronics) – Install Base
Location: Waukesha, WI
Duration: 11-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $35/hr (W2)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Power Electronics) to join a dynamic engineering team focused on developing and maintaining advanced medical diagnostic imaging systems. This role involves both new product development and installed base support, offering the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges in a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop power electronics circuitry for high-performance hardware, including new product introduction (NPI) and maintenance projects.
• Ensure operational excellence through effective design reviews, feasibility analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and resource management.
• Lead prototype development, performance validation, and design documentation.
• Capture and manage electrical design schematics using ECAD tools.
• Review and approve ECAD layouts and circuit board designs.
• Develop innovative and cost-effective designs that meet reliability, performance, and manufacturability standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical and power electronics design.
• Strong understanding of schematic design, electronics modeling, and engineering analysis techniques.
• Hands-on experience in low- and high-voltage DC/AC circuit design.
• Proficiency in power electronics, control system design, simulation, and testing (e.g., MATLAB or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
• Expertise in analog and digital circuit/circuit board design.
• Familiarity with digital electronics, switching technologies, and magnetic components.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and project execution skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task across multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
