Position: Sleep Technologist
Location: Ithaca, NY (14850)
Type: Contract | Local or Travel | Night Shift, 3 days/week
Duration: 13 weeks | Pay: $50/hr ($1,875/week)
Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Sleep Technologist for an exciting job in Ithaca, NY.
Responsibilities:
Prepare equipment and patients for overnight sleep studies.
Apply electrodes/sensors per 10–20 system and monitor physiological data (EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory effort, airflow, O₂ saturation).
Score studies per AASM guidelines and support physician review.
Troubleshoot equipment, maintain documentation, and ensure lab cleanliness.
Follow safety, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Polysomnographic program or equivalent.
RPSGT (or registry eligible) and BLS certified.
1+ year recent overnight sleep study experience preferred.
Knowledge of CPAP/BiPAP titration and split-night protocols a plus.
Strong observational, analytical, and communication skills.
