Shift: Monday – Friday | 5x8 hours (Day Shift, 40 hrs/week guaranteed)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative care to patients in a surgical setting. The RN will support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to sterile technique and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up sterile instruments and equipment.

  • Assist surgeons and surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and monitoring patient status.

  • Provide preoperative patient care, including assessment, preparation, and education.

  • Monitor patients during surgery and assist in maintaining vital signs and overall safety.

  • Support postoperative recovery, ensuring patient comfort and observing for complications.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, patient care, and outcomes.

  • Adhere to infection control and sterile techniques throughout all perioperative activities.

  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and professional nursing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.

  • Minimum 1 year of recent OR or perioperative nursing experience preferred.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and perioperative care procedures.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.

Work Environment:

  • Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) with a collaborative surgical team.

  • Day shifts, Monday – Friday, with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek.
