Shift: 12 Hours/Day | 3 Days/Week | 36 Hours/Week
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend & Holidays Required
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The RN ensures patient safety, supports high-quality maternal and newborn care, and collaborates with the healthcare team to manage complex cases in a labor and delivery setting.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, including vital signs, fetal heart monitoring, and labor progression.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments.
Assist with delivery procedures and support emergency interventions as needed.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
Knowledge of maternal and newborn care practices.
EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (NJ or multi-state compact).
Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
NRP certification preferred.
Additional preferred certifications: ACLS, Advanced AWHONN, or EFM.
