Position Title: Compliance Assistance Project Manager
Location: Columbia, SC – Onsite (Everyday travel is required throughout the state, and occasional overnight travel (occurs monthly or quarterly))
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview:
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking Compliance Assistance Project Manager for an exciting job in Columbia, SC.
Responsibilities:
Define project objectives and scope, including time frames, funding, procedures, and project life cycles for multi-agency, enterprise projects.
Coordinate and manage projects from inception through completion using established project management methodologies.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Develop and execute communication plans with organizational leaders, elected officials, regulated facilities, and the public regarding project status or impact.
Prepare status reports and provide updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and project champions.
Manage procurement processes and participate in contract negotiations resulting from project RFPs.
Review requests for changes and recommend updates to project sponsors or stakeholders.
Monitor project progress, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and tasks are completed on time.
Create quality management plans, maintain project documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Assist in the development and delivery of project management training and workshops.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience managing large, moderately complex projects with measurable risk.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven expertise in planning, organizing, and managing strategic and tactical assignments, particularly state-wide enterprise or agency-level IT initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, align outcomes with organizational objectives, and drive transformative results.
Experience in delivering project performance reports for data-driven decision-making and proactive strategy adjustments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.
Ability to inspire teams, cultivate collaboration, and achieve strategic goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of state government procurement regulations and fiscal policies.
Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Skilled in interpreting and applying environmental rules and regulations.
Competent in conceptualizing change and implementing actionable plans.
Special Requirement:
20 years of experience in implementing environmental programs.
