Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Location: Remote within Washington State (occasional travel may be required)

A Washington State agency is seeking an experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to serve as a Quality Assurance Reviewer for a statewide Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Program.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring that PASRR evaluations for individuals with mental illness meet Federal (42 CFR 483) and State standards. The LICSW will review clinical assessments, ensure diagnostic accuracy, and provide professional feedback to evaluators to promote consistency and quality across the program.
Conduct detailed quality reviews of PASRR Level II evaluations, follow-ups, and significant change reviews.
Verify the accuracy of diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and placement determinations in compliance with PASRR regulations.
Evaluate clinical documentation for completeness, clarity, and adherence to best practices.
Identify trends or quality issues and provide recommendations for program improvement.
Provide constructive, evidence-based feedback to PASRR evaluators on clinical findings and documentation practices.
Ensure consistent application of PASRR standards across evaluators statewide.
Support ongoing learning and professional development within the evaluator community.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance Physicians, Program Managers, and Clinical Leadership to maintain consistent clinical standards.
Contribute to policy updates, training content, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assist in maintaining program tools, templates, and checklists to ensure compliance and consistency.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and all applicable Washington State confidentiality laws.
Document and submit completed quality reviews within established timelines and standards.
Support audit preparation and provide data or summaries upon request.
Active Washington State LICSW license (Required).
4+ years of clinical experience working with geriatric, long-term care, or medically complex populations.
2+ years of experience in clinical supervision, peer review, or quality assurance within behavioral health or long-term care.
Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment planning for older adults.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and solutions-focused approach to feedback.
Experience working in interdisciplinary environments (healthcare, government, or community programs).
Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working within PASRR, Medicaid, or long-term care programs.
Familiarity with Federal PASRR guidelines (42 CFR 483) and Washington State procedures.
Proven ability to interpret and apply clinical and regulatory standards.
Experience supporting data-driven quality improvement initiatives.
Primarily remote; requires reliable internet access and a secure workspace.
Occasional travel may be required for meetings, trainings, or on-site reviews.
