Job Title: RN – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)
Shift: 5x8-Hour Shifts | Day/Evening
Pay Rate: $3,081 Weekly Gross
Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Guide patient care, education, and activities of ancillary staff while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Ensure high-quality customer service and patient satisfaction.
Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and discharge planning.
Serve as charge nurse and resource person when required.
Demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing informatics systems.
Participate in unit staff meetings, mandatory programs, and ongoing professional development.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient care.
Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Program or challenge exam – required
Successful passage of facility-specific Pharmacology exam – required
Skills in IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care – required
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, SDC, or PACU experience (within the last 5 years) – required
Prior PACU or SDC experience (within the last 5 years) – preferred
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
BLS (AHA) – required
ACLS – required
PALS – required
Active MA RN License – required
