Job Title: Patient Services Representative
Location: East Peoria, IL 61611
Duration: 3+ Months (with possible extension)
Pay Rate: $18/hr. on W2
We are seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team and provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a collaborative, team-based environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about customer service, eager to learn, and looking to grow their career in the dental/medical field.
The Patient Services Representative will support both patients and staff by answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with inquiries, and coordinating treatment plans through financial arrangements. Flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication skills are key to success in this position.
Deliver excellent customer service: greet and assist patients upon arrival and dismissal.
Respond to patient questions and concerns in line with policies.
Manage incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments.
Follow up on missed or canceled appointments.
Register patients upon arrival.
Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
Check and respond to voicemail daily.
Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming waiting area for patients.
Prior experience answering telephones.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office.
Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required.
