Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Unit: Radiology
Duration: 12 weeks (extendable)
Shift: 5x7 (Day shift)
Pay Rate: $2,625 (Weekly Gross)
Perform MRI procedures ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and quality control.
Interview patients prior to MRI procedures for MRI safety screening.
Ensure patient safety by correctly identifying patients using approved two identifiers.
Explain MRI process and instruct patients on procedures to obtain optimal imaging results.
Safely set up, operate, and adjust MRI equipment, selecting proper technical factors.
Prepare patients by positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and monitoring during scans.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized MRI environment.
Perform image quality and calibration tests on MRI equipment; report malfunctions as needed.
Maintain imaging supplies inventory.
Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring proper identification.
Document patient encounters in the EMR and maintain accurate records.
Minimum of 1 year MRI experience.
Experience with relevant MRI equipment.
Strong understanding of patient safety in MRI environments.
Proficiency in using EMR systems.
Associate's degree from a Radiologic Technology program.
