Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – ECMO Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55407
Shift: 3x12 (Day 06:30–19:00 or Night 18:30–07:00)
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week (up to 3 shift cancellations allowed per contract without penalty)
Pay Rate: $62/hour

Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Respiratory Therapist for an exciting job in Minneapolis, MN.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of RRT experience and 1 year of ECMO Specialist experience.

  • Active state license required (pending license accepted if active by start date).

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT.

  • First-time travelers accepted (with ECMO experience).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Airway Management & Suctioning: Endotracheal tube, extubation, intubation assist, nasal/oral airway placement, suctioning, tracheostomy care, pulmonary hygiene, sputum collection.

  • Patient Care: ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, ECMO, fresh tracheostomy, pneumonia.

  • Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (iNO), Pulmicort, Racemic Epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex.

  • Delivery Systems & Nebulizers: Aerosol setup, handheld/heated/ultrasonic nebulizers, T-piece, trach collar.

  • Oxygen Therapy: Bag & mask, ET tube, HFNC, portable O2, protocol-driven ECMO, T-piece, trach collar.

  • Ventilator Management: BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, weaning, troubleshooting alarms, patient transport (intra-hospital & ambulance).

  • Professional Skills: ABG interpretation, arterial puncture, chest physiotherapy (manual & vest), arterial blood gas sampling.
