Position Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Contract (Local or Travel)
Shift: Days (3x12s)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
Weekly Pay: $1,620 – $1,800

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking MRI Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced MRI scans per physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate MRI equipment and monitor patients throughout scans
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient information
• Collaborate with radiologists to assess image quality and determine if additional views are required
• Adhere to facility procedures and infection control standards
• Conduct routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance when needed
• Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
• Comply with MRI safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics
• Proficiency in MRI scanners and post-processing software
• Familiarity with MRI safety guidelines and patient screening procedures
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a 13.5-hour day shift as scheduled
